Navisun welcomes new CEO Jason Spreyer
March 4, 2024 — Navisun is pleased to announce that Jason Spreyer has joined the team as CEO. With over two decades of experience in the energy industry, his leadership and expertise will help to strengthen Navisun’s existing partnerships and guide the company’s expansion into new markets.
Jason most recently led the growth of a large owner and operator in the community solar and distributed generation sector, expanding the business into more than a dozen markets. Under his leadership, the company was able to develop and implement offtake strategies targeting commercial and low-income customers.
Previously, Jason also led the expansion of greenfield development at Brookfield Renewable, leveraging the company’s experience in energy markets to add energy storage to existing renewable assets. In his 12 years at Brookfield, Jason held a variety of senior roles in development, operations and finance, contributing to the company’s shift to customer-centric solutions.
“We are very fortunate to have Jason coming in to lead Navisun as the company growth curve steepens in the distributed generation space,” said Nandit Gandhi, chairman of Navisun and managing director at OMERS Infrastructure. “Jason’s leadership in development, finance and operations will enable him to step in and continue building upon Navisun’s already impressive asset base and pipeline.”
“I am excited to join and work with the Navisun team and to partner with the OMERS Infrastructure group to continue to grow Navisun as the leader in distributed generation,” said Jason. “Our expertise as developers, owners and operators of distributed solar solutions, combined with our strong positioning in the industry, presents an opportunity for Navisun to further accelerate our portfolio growth and reinforce our reputation as a trusted industry leader.”
