Senior Finance Analyst, Corporate FP&A
Navisun is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst, Corporate FP&A to work with the VP, Finance on the preparation of monthly management reporting, provide financial modeling and analytical support for short and long-range business plans, and execution support for corporate financial planning and forecasting. This position demands not only financial skills but also the ability to understand the company's complex structure and operations, while thinking strategically. The successful candidate will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure they have the information necessary to run the business. This role requires a multifaceted employee who is seeking to engage across origination, development, construction, asset management, legal, and project finance practices to ensure projects achieve core funding milestones efficiently and effectively.
- 2+ years of experience with corporate FP&A, distributed generation, solar plus storage experience preferred
- Robust understanding and ability to work with complex financial models and perform sensitivity analyses
- Understanding of accounting principles and impact on financial statements (CPA and/or CFA strongly desired)
- Ability to work across and with multiple teams to drive business execution and performance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills to a variety of external partners and internal parties (team, senior management, Board)
- A Detail oriented self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves,” entrepreneurial, collaborative, and problem-solving attitude
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office suite software
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field required, Masters in Business or Finance preferred
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, generate and enhance end-to-end financial and operational models, including annual multi-year strategic plans for the Company through an annual planning process including analysis on progress through monthly, quarterly and annual reviews;
- Ensure the correct financing assumptions are included in the relevant financial models to assist in forecasting of quarterly cash distribution and DSCR coverage ratios for all operating portfolios;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual presentations, reporting and Board materials, including coordination with Senior Leadership, Construction Operations, Asset Management and Business Development for data inputs and commentary;
- Maintain an active understanding of current trends in the renewable energy markets encompassing debt and equity markets along with state & federal incentive programs;
- Build and maintain a direct link between FP&A and Accounting to facilitate accurate and timely reporting;
- Support origination efforts, including scenario analyses, to secure tax equity, construction/term loan and corporate commitments to optimize the capital structure; and
- Support the management of data rooms, diligence trackers, external experts, lawyers, and other third-party consultants contributing to project diligence as part of a debt and/or tax equity financing;
