Jason Spreyer

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Jason is responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth and performance for Navisun.  Prior to joining Navisun, Jason was the Executive Vice President, Business Development at Summit Ridge Energy where he led the M&A, self-development, offtake, regulatory/policy and deal structuring teams to build a distributed generation pipeline of +2,000MW.  Jason has nearly 30 years of industry experience including leadership roles in finance, project development, business development and regulatory and policy spanning North and South America, Europe and Asia/Pacific markets.  Prior to Summit Ridge Energy, Jason held roles with increasing responsibility with Brookfield Renewable, Veolia, InterGen and Calpine.  Jason has a BS in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth and an MBA from Boston University with a concentration in Corporate Finance.

Matt Preskenis

SVP, Business Development

Matt is responsible for leading business development and origination strategy for Navisun, with an emphasis on strategic relationships, co-development, and M&A in both Navisun’s current regions and new markets and segments. Prior to joining Navisun, Matt was SVP of Strategic Partnerships for Pivot Energy, where he led inorganic growth and helped support Pivot’s transition from developer to owner-operator. Matt has 25+ years of diverse energy industry experience, including past leadership roles at other renewable IPPs, trading and structuring roles at various deregulated energy trading firms, and strategic origination roles at Goldman Sachs, DTE, and Reliant Energy, in both the US and Europe. Matt has a BA in philosophy from Harvard College.

Brendan Canavan

VP, Business Development

Brendan is responsible for business development and origination strategy for Navisun, with an emphasis on strategic relationships, co-development, and M&A in both Navisun’s current regions and new markets and segments. Prior to joining Navisun, Brendan was VP Project Development and Asset Acquisition for Safari Energy, where he played a pivotal role in converting the company from a developer to owner-operator. Prior to Safari, Brendan served in Project Development/Management roles at Advanced Solar Products and First Solar.

John Stroud

VP, Business Development

John is responsible for project and portfolio acquisition for Navisun. He works with developers to advance strategic partnerships and execute M&A transactions in the DG solar and storage space. Prior to joining Navisun, John was Director of Origination with Pivot Energy where he led the team’s acquisition activity. He has more than 15 years’ experience in acquisition due diligence, technology assessment, and clean energy asset valuation with specific expertise in the areas of deal origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution. John received his BBA from James Madison University and an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Stephen Campbell Jr., PE

Chief Operations Officer

As Chief Operations Officer, Stephen is responsible for managing the technical diligence of all acquisitions, pre-construction, engineering, procurement, construction, and asset management of the Navisun portfolio. Prior to joining Navisun, Stephen served as the Director of Construction for Greenwood Energy. Stephen has also held senior management positions at Tetra Tech and SunEdison where he managed the development and construction of over 150 MW of distributed solar projects throughout the East Coast. Stephen holds an BSCE degree from the State University of New York, and an MBA from Boston College.

Mark Anderson

VP, Construction

Mark is responsible for developing and facilitating Navisun’s ability and capacity to directly implement its Solar PV and battery energy storage projects by building out the company’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities. Mark is a seasoned innovative clean technology and sustainability project management professional with proven industry experience leading teams in the development, construction, and operation of diverse power generation assets, including cogeneration, solar PV and battery energy storage systems. As a key member of Navisun’s senior management team, Mr. Anderson has overall responsibility for effectively managing an internal asset delivery team that supports the company’s strategic growth and profitability objectives. Prior to joining Navisun, he held various project management positions, with increasing responsibility, at Signal Energy and Ameresco.  Mr. Anderson earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Sustainability from Florida Institute of Technology.

Carlos Ortiz

VP, Asset Management

Carlos is responsible for assets’ operating and financial performance, contract management, and regulatory compliance in his new position. Carlos brings over 20 years of experience in asset management, corporate financing, planning, and analyzing energy and water infrastructures. Prior to joining Navisun, Mr. Ortiz was Director of Asset Management at Longroad Energy and has held different finance and asset management positions with companies such as Poseidon Water, Atlantic Power, and InterGen.

Carlos got his Bachelor’s in Actuary from UNAM in Mexico and his Master’s in Finance at ITAM in Mexico.

Lindsey Boyer

VP, Finance and Administration

Lindsey is directly responsible for upholding strong financial management and accountability while providing timely, accurate and reliable financial information at Navisun. She manages all aspects of financial reporting, as well as oversees day-to-day activities related to corporate finance and compliance, accounting, tax, and human resources. Prior to joining Navisun, Lindsey held similar roles at EnterSolar, MaxSolar, Energy & Infrastructure Capital and Halyard Capital Management, LLC. Prior to joining Halyard, Lindsey was an assurance manager in the financial services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Lindsey is a certified public accountant. She received an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a B.S. in finance and accounting from New York University.

Nandit Gandhi

Board Chair

Nandit is a Managing Director with OMERS Infrastructure team in New York, where he is responsible for the origination, execution and management of infrastructure investments. He also plays a critical role in OMERS Infrastructure’s asset management function globally.

Prior to OMERS, Nandit was Managing Director and Co-Head of Portfolio Operations at J.F. Lehman. Earlier in his career, Nandit held senior roles at American Infrastructure Partners and Platinum Equity, where he spent eight years executing on the firm’s M&A operations strategy across portfolio companies in Europe and North America.

Nandit has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and an MBA from Babson College.

Al Bucknam

Board Member

Al has served on the Navisun board of directors since February 2022 and assumed the additional role of Interim CEO in May 2023.  Al has more than 25 years’ experience in the renewable energy industry as CEO, board member and industry advisor to large investors.  Al’s background includes fifteen years as CEO of leading-edge solar + storage companies, including Green Development, REC Solar (later Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions) and SunDurance Energy (now CS Energy).  Before entering the solar industry, Al led Corporate Development and Strategy at fuel cell pioneer Plug Power and began his career in finance-related positions at transportation leader Ryder System. Al holds a B.A. in Chemistry from Middlebury College in Vermont and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Tom Frazier

Board Member

Tom is a Managing Director with OMERS Infrastructure’s team in New York, where he is responsible for the origination, execution and management of infrastructure investments. Tom oversees the energy, power and utilities practice in North America. He joined OMERS in 2019. Prior to joining OMERS, Tom spent 12 years at Global Infrastructure Partners, where he was a Principal responsible for investing across the energy value chain. Prior to GIP, he was an energy banker at Lehman Brothers and started his career in public accounting. Tom has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma.

Blair McKechnie

Board Member

Blair joined OMERS Infrastructure in August 2018. As Managing Director, Legal, Blair provides legal advice and support to the transaction teams regarding new investment opportunities and the management of existing assets throughout North America.

Blair was previously at WebMD Health Corp., where she provided legal services and support on M&A activity and commercial issues related to WebMD’s health services and consumer website businesses. Prior to WebMD, Blair spent time in private practice in New York, where she focused on M&A transactions and private equity investments.

Blair has a BCom (Honours) and a J.D. from Queen’s University. Blair is called to the bars in both New York and Ontario.

Steve Trenholm

Board Member

Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry with an extensive background in project development and mergers & acquisitions, having developed significant expertise in the areas of: due diligence, asset valuation, business and strategic planning, business process reengineering, and organizational effectiveness.  Steve currently also serves on the board of Leeward Renewable Energy, another OMERS portfolio company in the renewable energy industry.   In addition to CEO roles overseeing E.ON’s wind and later solar businesses in North America, Steve has been active as a Board Member at the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA) and ACORE.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Sciences and Master of Science degree in Radiation Biology from Oregon State University, as well as an M.B.A. from Northwestern University

George Woo

Board Member

George is currently a Director with OMERS Infrastructure’s team in New York where he is responsible for the origination, execution and management of infrastructure investments in the Americas. Since joining in 2014, George has been involved in the execution and asset management of numerous investments across the energy and transport sectors.

Prior to joining OMERS Infrastructure, George was part of Canaccord Genuity’s Investment Banking team in Toronto, where he focused on M&A and corporate finance advisory in the metals and mining sector. He began his career at Deloitte in their Assurance & Advisory practice.

George holds a BBA degree from the University of Toronto and is a CPA, CA.
